    Brooke Preston is a Midwest-based writer, satirist and storyteller. Her humor writing has been published in The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Reductress, Men’s Health, Romper, The Huffington Post, Electric Literature, Weekly Humorist, The Cooper Review, The Billfold, Slackjaw, Live Wire Radio, Columbus Monthly magazine, and other web and print outlets.


    She is one of the founders and editors of The Belladonna Comedy, a satire site by women and non-binary writers, for everyone. She and her fellow editors co-authored a satire book called "New Erotica for Feminists", published in November 2018 by Plume/Penguin Random House in the US, and Sceptre/Hodder & Stoughton in the U.K.


    Trained in satire writing at The Second City and sketch and improv at Portland's Curious Comedy Theater, She is now a proud faculty member of The Second City Training Center, where she teaches the Online Satire Writing program. She also leads workshops for the Thurber House, MadLab and others.


    She enjoys adventuring and binge-watching things with her husband, daughter and doofy labs.
